Peeta Mellerk is the boy from district 12 who wins the hunger games with Katniss Everdeen. He saved Katniss life by burning a loaf of bread on purpose so he could give them to Katniss when she was starving. In the interviews before the hunger games he confesses that he loves Katniss. During Cathcing Fire when they know that they are going to the hunger games again he wants to make sure that he dies so that Katniss can live. During Mockingjay he was hijacked by the capitol so they make him think that Katniss is a mutt or a monster or mutation that they created, but at the end Katniss and Peeta kill President Snow and the hunger games vanish and they live in peace in the victors village and have 2 children. |
